George Gilbert
George Gilbert delivers entertaining, dynamic, and informative speeches on the importance and benefits of laughter in various areas of our lives. He spreads his message about humor across the country. In 2001, “due to his professionalism and outstanding achievements in public speaking,” he was awarded the title of Accredited Speaker, becoming only the 50th person in the world to achieve this designation. George’s show business background gives him a commanding stage presence. His parents were regarded as one of the funniest comedy/variety acts of their time.
At age twelve, George started out by performing stand-up comedy at the Disneyland Hotel. He then went on to entertain at comedy clubs, retirement communities, conventions, and various business organizations. During the early-mid 1990’s George Produced the Nostalgia Tour bringing low-cost entertainment to retirement communities.
July 2, 1992, George promised himself that if his wife Dori Gilbert survived her life-saving Kidney/Pancreas transplant, he would speak about the importance of organ and tissue donation. George made good on his promise and speaks to groups across the country about the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation. By becoming an organ, eye, and tissue donor, you can save and enhance the lives of up to eight people and enhance the lives of over 75 people.
